Campus events to look forward to: November issue – Lindenlink | Whuff News

Each semester, Lindenwood ensures that students have plenty of opportunities to be involved, have fun, and participate in events where they can meet new people and enjoy college life to the fullest.

Taking a break from classes, homework, and responsibilities is important throughout the semester. During on-campus and off-campus events, students can recharge and take that much-needed break from school.

This month, some of the events include the Film Series at LARC, Recycle with the Lions, Fall Fest, and the Thanksgiving dinner.

Here are some events to look forward to in November:

International Student Community Appreciation Dinner

Day: Friday, Nov. 4, 6 p.m

Location: Immanuel Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 115 South 6thth Highway

Hosted by ISF, this event is an opportunity for students to learn more about American culture, food, and traditional square dancing. No experience is necessary to participate. To register, follow the link and scan a QR code. Pickup for students requiring transportation will be provided by LARC at 5:45pm

Fall Fest and Campus Activities Board

Day: Saturday, Nov. 5, 1pm – 4pm

Location: Evans Lawa classic

Hosted by CAB, Fall Fest is a way for students to take a break from studying and enjoy the last warm days outside. Fall Fest will have food trucks, field games, fall activities, and t-shirts for participants. Prizes will be awarded to game winners.

Self Care Club: Imagine yourself

Day: Wednesday, Nov. 9, 7pm – 9pm

Location: Harmon Hall, room 117

Hosted by the Self Care Club, the Envision Yourself night gives students the chance to meet people, as well as create their own vision boards. future.

Recycle with lions

Day: Thursday, Nov. 10, 8am – 6pm

Location: Evans Atrium

Organized and hosted by the Climate Crew, this event will help the university recognize that Lindenwood students care about the environment and are interested in giving back. use of space in the campus. On recycling day people can bring their recyclables to the recycling center.

Film Series: Elvis

Day: Thursday, Nov. 10, 7 p.m

Location: LARC Theatre, Room 343

Film Series at LARC welcomes November with a film exploring the life of Elvis Presley. The movie captures his life and how Presley rose to fame. Students who bring their Lindenwood ID will be admitted free of charge. Admission is $2 (cash only) for those without.

Film Series: Marcel the Shell with Shoes On

Day: Thursday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m

Location: LARC Theatre, Room 343

A story of a one-inch-long shell became popular after a short film about him was released. Marcel begins a new chapter in their life, full of danger, hope, and adventure. Students who bring their Lindenwood ID will be admitted free of charge. Admission is $2 (cash only) for those without.

Tour Series: Vicki Lawrence and Mama: A Two-Woman Show

Day: Saturday, November 19, 8 pm

Location: The Lindenwood Theatre, J. Scheidegger’s Center for the Arts

Vicki Lawrence is a singer, songwriter, and actress known for shows like “The Carol Burnett Show”, and the television sitcom series “Mama’s Family”. This event is part of the 2022-2023 season of the tournament.
