Come Out With Pride Orlando returns with a week of events | Whuff News


ORLANDO, Fla. – One of Florida’s largest LGBTQ events returns with a full week of activities culminating in a festival, parade and fireworks at Orlando’s Lake Eola.

Come Out With Pride Orlando events begin Sunday evening with a concert by the Orlando Gay Chorus at 7:30 pm at Timucua on Summerlin Avenue.

Other events include movies, a bar and crawl in the Milk District, and the LGBTQIA + Survivor Vigil Tuesday, at 7 pm at Orlando City Hall.

On Thursday at 7 p.m., there will also be an evening of spoken word, music and art celebrating LGBT+ people of color at the Lake Eola Bandshell.

Then on Saturday, October 15, the Pride Festival starts at 12 pm in downtown Orlando, featuring a business market, a family zone, stages for dancing, local acts and drag shows and divas .

At 4:00 p.m., the Great Colorful Show begins, with more than 100 groups participating in the mile route from Orange Avenue and Washington down Central Boulevard to Summerlin Avenue.

The event ends with fireworks at Lake Eola at 9:15 p.m.

Come Out with Pride brings nearly 200,000 people to Orlando each year, making it one of the largest pride events in the state.
