BENGALURU: While the Higher Education and School Education and Literacy departments have introduced a more inclusive approach to education and the promotion of their calendar of events, every step has seen one setback or the other.

Both the departments, as well as the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), released a calendar of events for their academic years and practices. However, none of the departments have been successful in sticking to their own calendars, causing confusion for many parents and students.

The most interesting thing is that KEA has brought back their entire Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) calendar after the KCET trial. However, even though the issue was resolved and the calendar was revised, the administration did not stick to their own schedule.

The dates for download of admit cards, document verification and seat allotment have all been postponed several times since the original publication of the time table. While the first preview was released on October 17 and the nominations process was open until October 13, it has now been pushed back today. October 28th and October 26th, almost two weeks late.

KEA’s use of outdated services and serious technical problems have also contributed to the problem, with many taking on four Press release to complain. Meanwhile, the failure to respond quickly to concerns about the timelines for the education department has led to many last-minute changes, including the recent postponement of final exams in the day before October 17.
