The Fall Festival season is ending for another year before there are a few interesting things to tell you as we move into this first week of November.

We hope everyone had the opportunity to visit Rehoboth Beach last week for another Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddlers Festival, which is always a sign of fall in the “Nation’s Summer Capital.”

Moving forward this week, our list of events features the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival, as well as many other great events in the region.

This festival founded by the Rehoboth Beach Film Society has become one of the most popular in the region in recent years and is held over a week every fall in the Lewes area.

The festival showcases many of the best independent films, including documentaries, dramas, international films and more.

The event is being held at the Cinema Art Theater in Lewes and at the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware on Route 9.

This annual event is set for Saturday, November 5, at Cape Henlopen High School and will be aimed at people 55 and older.

Exhibitors include medical services, home health agencies, fitness programs, residential communities and home service companies.

Beebe Medical Center representatives will also be on site to conduct health screenings and evaluations. For more information, call 302-236-0857.

Proceeds from the 2022 Delaware Resorts 55+ Expo will be used to benefit the work done at Meals on Wheels.

This event will be held at the Nanticoke Indian Museum in Oak Orchard and is scheduled for 11 am to 4 pm, on Saturday, November 5.

Activities for the day include museum visits, dance performances, Native American singing, history, shopping and traditional food.

Admission to this event is free, so plan to spend a few hours this Saturday in Oak Orchard.
