ATLANTA–(BUSINESS DESCRIPTION)–The Insight Sourcing Group (ISG), a leading North American consulting firm specializing in strategic sourcing and procurement-related services, has launched a sustainability program that aligns with the organization’s commitment to environmental stewardship, renewable energy, and waste reduction.

Following an extensive analysis by Insight Energy, a subsidiary of Insight Sourcing Group that recently expanded amid growing demand for its technical services, ISG set a 100 percent renewable energy goal by 2030 that includes a commitment to source its electricity from renewable sources at its headquarters in Atlanta. starting in 2022.

“Not only do we apply the same standards to help our customers succeed, but we’ve tried to pull back the curtain on this process and bring transparency to this increasingly important service,” said Brent Eiland, President of Insight Sourcing. The group. “I commend the work of ISG’s Internal Sustainability Committee led by Brandon Owens, Vice President of Sustainability at Insight Energy, whose team is truly committed to creating long-term value for our customers – and us – by moving forward with sustainability.”

As part of this initiative, ISG conducted measurements of its Tier 1, Tier 2, and selected categories of Tier 3 emissions. Based on the results, ISG developed a road map to achieve 100 percent renewable energy and established a plan to measure and reduce emissions of Scope 3, which are indirect emissions such as industrial traffic. The Sustainability Committee also identified opportunities to reduce labor mobility emissions using hybrid work models and a car incentive system. Identifying and reducing waste has resulted in another opportunity to improve sustainability, with an internal audit showing an opportunity to reduce the use of single-use paper cups.

Furthermore, ISG’s purchase of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) will ensure the production and use of renewable energy such as wind or solar power. These commitments and initiatives place ISG among the leading professional services firms worldwide taking steps to help address the global challenge of climate change by conducting business in an environmentally responsible manner.
