BATON ROUGE – LSU Football will play at Southern University on September 10 at 6:30 pm In the days leading up to the football game, there will be many special events to celebrate traditions, values history and progress of both universities and their mutual influence on it. the city of Baton Rouge.


“Hunger Release” Food Delivery Challenge

Accepted by LSU and SU Student Government Associations

Students will collect items for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to address food insecurity in the community, including college students.

Luncheon Experience & A&M Agenda Signing

This event will celebrate LSU’s economic relationship with SU including employment, investment and research. The A&M Agenda will be officially signed by LSU President William F. Tate IV and Southern University President Dennis J. Shields.

LSU and Southern Laboratory Schools Walls Project Collaboration

Students from the LSU Laboratory School and the Southern University Laboratory School are collaborating with artist Morgan Udoh of the Walls Project to create a gallery that will showcase the art education offered by these art schools. their own students as well as the state school through the development, implementation and implementation of educational programs and educational systems .

“Champions of Education: Perspectives from Classroom Teachers” A Forum hosted by the LSU College of Human Sciences & Education and Southern University School of Education

A panel discussion celebrating the teaching profession and focusing on addressing teacher recruitment and retention issues in Louisiana; conducted by the Commissioner of Higher Education, Dr. Kim Hunter Reed.
