Fall is back in downtown Dallas, even if the Texas heat wants us to think otherwise. Pumpkins, turkeys, and footballs have finally arrived. Downtown Dallas, Inc. (DDI) has a full schedule of events that has something for everyone skin for this season.

From yoga classes to movie nights, these are must-attend events in Downtown Dallas this fall. And all of this is free when you RSVP!

Munich Street Garden.

Munich Street Garden

If you can’t make the international trip to Oktoberfest this year, fear not, Germany is coming to you in the form of Munich Street Garden at 1902 Main Street. On Wednesdays in October from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., DDI is partnering with local brewery Pegasus City Brewery for tastings (ages 21 and up), barrel racing, Dachshund races, markets crafts, family-friendly games, and live shows starting at 7 pm each night. Lucky for you, unlike the cost of a plane ticket to Oktoberfest in Munich, this event is free with an RSVP.

Trick or treating on the town is fun for all ages.

Trick-or-Treat on the city streets

It’s not fall without Halloween. This year, join Downtown Dallas, Inc. for its 4th annual Trick-or-Treat on Downtown Streets. Starting at the Main Street Garden (1902 Main Street) on Friday, October 28 at 4 p.m., adults, children, and pets can visit the various businesses participating in the downtown area. will love Halloween spots and trick-or-treating. DDI will be handing out goodie bags to help you collect all of your new swag. Whether you’re planning to dress up the whole family (including your little one) or planning a home decor day at your desk, Trick-or-Treat on Downtown Streets is something fun, happy Halloween everyone.

Market in town

There’s something about strolling through an outdoor market during the fall with a coffee in hand. This October, there will be many different craft markets every Saturday throughout the month. The market season will kick off with the VIP Market on Saturday, October 1 from 5pm to 9pm at Pegasus Plaza (1500 Main Street) with local vendors and activities for children and pets. There will also be another VIP Market on Saturday, October 22 from 11 am to 4 pm. Check the Downtown Dallas website for Saturday Market locations and special hours.

Health Care

Line Dance

If you’re looking for ways to make your Halloween treats work, Downtown Dallas, Inc. many different health events in town this fall. For the first time, the group is bringing Line Dancing to Pegasus Plaza (1500 Main Street) on October 6th and 13th from noon to 1pm. Instructor “Yoshi” from Round-Up Saloon & Dance Hall offers advanced line dance introductory lessons to turn your lunchtime into a fun time! Lessons consist of two, 30-minute sessions that will be held on the hour so you can come and go as your schedule allows.

Wednesday Walking Club

If you want to spend your lunch break stretching your legs and walking around, Downtown Dallas, Inc. The Walking Club is launched on Wednesdays. Every Wednesday in October from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm, the group will meet at Pegasus Plaza (1500 Main Street) and explore Downtown on foot.

If yoga is more your thing, you’re in luck this fall in town!


For yogis, Downtown Dallas, Inc. is partnering with Black Swan Yoga for “Turn Up Tuesday Yoga Nights” at Pacific Plaza (401 N Harwood Street) on Tuesdays in October at 7 p.m. for the golden hour flow. This free, introductory stream is empowering, educational, and an overall good time. You can expect to sweat, challenge, and connect with other neighbors. All groups are encouraged to participate and be sure to bring your own mat.

Palette Class

If you’re more of a dancer than a yogi, the group is also bringing Ballet Classes to Main Street Garden (1902 Main Street) every Thursday at 7 pm in October with Pegasus Contemporary Ballet. This class is for all ages and experience, and the company’s dancers will lead you through an introduction to tap, including all the basics.

Creeping Zombies

Join Downtown Dallas for a Zombie Crawl starting at West End Square (607 Corbin Street) on October 15 from 6:30 pm to 2 am to really get into the holiday spirit. The event will feature live DJs, a booth, and a costume contest. Be sure to come dressed for fun.

With Downtown Dallas as your backdrop, head to the Main Street Garden (1902 Main Street) on Friday nights in October starting at 7:15 pm for outdoor movies featuring classics like We, Ghostbusters, and Cruella. If you’re looking for a date or a girl’s getaway, this is the perfect choice.
