East Dallas is ready for the holidays.

In fact, we were ready to bet. Some people have had lights, wreaths and other decorations on their property since November 1st.

Even though we’re not past Thanksgiving yet, there are a few events coming up this weekend that might be worth looking back on. oh

Light up lower Greenville

  • 4-8 pm November 26 in Lower Greenville
  • Tree lighting at Son of the Merchant at 7 p.m
  • Santa will be at Greenville Avenue Pizza Co. starting at 6pm
  • Seniors can buy glasses outside of GAPCo. and HG Sply Co. Special events and free events are open at businesses along Greenville Avenue

Deep Ellum Christmas Eve

  • 6-9 p.m. Nov. 26 at 2647 Main St. in Deep Ellum
  • Lighted trees, holiday music, s’mores, fire pit, photos and Santa
  • Holiday specials at select local businesses

Casa Linda Tree Lighting

  • 5:30-8 pm November 29 at Casa Linda Plaza
  • See Mr. and Mrs. Claus and elves; photos with Santa cost $5
  • Orange grove, zoo, ice rink
  • Eye painter and balloon artist
  • Local food, drinks and hot chocolate
  • Live music from the Bryan Adams and Woodrow Wilson choirs, Lakewood Presbyterian and CC Young Singers
  • Bring good cans or new toys to support the White Rock Center of Hope

Light up Lakewood

  • 6-9 pm December 2 at Lakewood Shopping Center and Harrell Park
  • Orange trees in Harrell Park
  • Shop for holiday gifts from local vendors
  • Lakewood Shopping Center pop-ups with food sampling and giveaways
  • Photo with Santa
  • Face painting for kids
  • Woodrow Wilson High School Marching Band
  • Live DJ
  • Lakewood Service League charity drive

Four Suns Lakewood

  • 1:30-5 pm December 3
  • Donate new, unwrapped gifts for children at this curbside toy drive, benefiting the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center.
  • Roads through neighborhoods
